We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor to join our team. Applications are invited from experienced candidates and from recent graduates in the areas of Maths, Finance, Business and Investment who have a strong desire to pursue a career as an Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor.

The Role:

As a Trainee Investment Consultant and Financial Advisor you will form a key part of our team and will provide advice to both corporate and individual clients. Your role will involve:

  • Preparing client deliverables
  • Managing client relationships and leading in the provision of investment strategy, fund research and manager selection
  • Contributing to the delivery of the day to day services required by our clients
  • Preparing performance monitoring reports for clients, including commentary which are presentable to the client
  • Meeting clients and providing solutions to their requirements, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and standards
  • Supporting new business initiatives
  • Working with our team of experienced Actuaries and Investment Consultants to develop systems and processes to improve overall efficiency
  • Marinating up-to-date knowledge of market practice and legislation
  • You will also be required to provide assistance to our Actuaries in our Expert Witness Practice

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a numerate / economic area
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Well organised and detail oriented
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Part or fully completed QFA qualification would be an advantage
  • Experience of work in a financial planning consultancy, pension consultancy or insurance brokerage would be an added advantage

Further Education:

The successful candidate is expected to study to become a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and (or) a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). A comprehensive study package will be provided.
